Proven and well sorted Vintage Race Car this MK1 Capri gets an unbelievable amount of attention where ever it goes.
Based on a clean shell MK1, a tubular chassis was developed/modified and refined over time to yield this balanced and amazingly compliant and easy to drive racer. Make no mistake however this car is quick and is a serious threat in its class. Super simple and reliable formula, easy to adjust and maintain.

This car was raced in California,Arizona and even in Europe at some point in its 25+ years of racing.
It starts without hesitation and runs really well, it is currently jetted and setup for race gas 106 octane.
The new clutch/pedal and hydraulic release system is as smooth as if driving my Porsche 997, smooth action and plenty of grip from the new McLeod Street Pro Clutch.
Please look at the pictures closely, I'm not promising or selling a perfectly restored factory racer! This is a true privately developed racer that is in good shape both esthetically and mechanically. It is a workhorse, not a show-horse, not a museum peace. If you want to have fun and beat the pulp out of your mustang and corvette friends on the track or if you fancy a hill climb or two or if you just want to scare the daylight out of your neighbors when starting the beast then this car's for you! ;)
The car is registered in the state of Vermont
Vermont Title/Registration and Antique Plate in the seller's name, this means that it is recognized as a registered/titled car in the USA. I wouldn't necessarily drive it on the road however...
A set of street tires are currently installed on the car, front size 245/40-ZR17 and rear size 315/35-ZR17
A spare set of NEW racing slicks (same sizes) is included in the sale.2 additional Forged Hubs and a comprehensive set of wheel offsets/flanges are also included
A spare Acrylic windshield will also be included in the sale.
I can assist with bringing the car to a Los Angeles based shipper for the overseas buyer who maybe interested, I've done it many times no issues there. The car will be released for shipment after the deposit and balance payment have cleared. I can provide reference for people I've done business with in Europe if you'd like.
