I have an amazing Datsun 520 truck up for sale.
I am sad to see it go but at the moment I have too many vehicles and have to let one go. My plans were to get two Weber dcoe 45s on it and tune it up to make some power. The original j13 is long gone and in its place is a l20b! It has flat top pistons with the u67 head to make some decent compression, as well as a camshaft that makes the idle sound great as well as shifts the powerband up in the revs. Currently it has one Weber dcoe 45 and it’s fallen out of tune. I would suggest running two of them and getting them dialed in to get the truck running well.
This truck is a 1968 so it is California smog exempt.
The truck is lowered and offers a cool look without being impractical. The ride height is perfect for around town cruising and spiriting driving.
All of the wiring has been redone by the previous owner and it has an electronic fuel pump.
The truck body and frame is very straight. Literally no rust. The paint was done by the original owner and was done to suit the Bonneville salt flats, where the vehicle was intended to do a top speed run. The vehicle never made it to the salt flats, but the next owner can make that happen if that’s what they would like to do.
The interior is basic it has an induction tachometer that’s mounted on the oe dash. And the speedometer jumps around a little bit leather seats a bit worn and cracked but door cards are intact.
Just replaced the chain, guides, tensioner, and adjusted the valve lash as well as put a new head gasket.
